	The Senate met at 11:00 a.m. pursuant to adjournment and was called to order by the President. We thank You so very much for keeping the people on the De Anza College campus in Cupertino, California, from being harmed by the person who intended to use bombs and guns to conduct a Columbine-style attack. We also ask You to help every Senator consecrate themselves to You in order that Your name may be glorified and the results of their deliberations will help all the people of Texas. Fill their hearts with joy as they seek to improve the lives of others along the way. Let each Senator remember these words of promise, "[God] shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler."
