AFTER RECESS

The Senate met at 2:13 p.m. and was called to order by President Pro Tempore Creighton.

Pastor Mark Canada, Parkway Bible Church, Pflugerville, offered the invocation as follows:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today in humility and gratitude, seeking Your wisdom and guidance for this gathering. Please strengthen these leaders to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with You. Grant them wisdom to lead with integrity, discernment, grace, and truth. Let their deliberations be marked by fairness, compassion, and a desire to serve the common good. Help them to seek unity where there is division, clarity where there is uncertainty, and courage where difficult decisions must be made. We pray for peace in this Chamber, that words spoken and actions taken would reflect Your heart and character. May each leader here be strengthened to serve selflessly, knowing that true greatness comes through sacrificial humble service. Bless this Senate, O Lord. Bless the great State of Texas. And may all that is done today be for the good of the people and to Your glory. In Your holy name we pray. Amen.
